Mr. Markle told TMZ that he would not attend the wedding following his staged paparazzi photographs because he doesn’t want to embarrass the Royal Family or his daughter. He eventually changed his mind afterward and announced that he would. Then again, he recently told TMZ that he would not attend the ceremony due to his heart surgery.
The bride-to-be’s father faced controversy as he revealed that he was paid for staged paparazzi photos. The photographs showed that Thomas Markle was being photographed while doing wedding-related activities. “I meant no harm to Meghan or the Royal Family when he made a deal to allow a photo agency to take pics of him getting ready for the wedding,” he told TMZ. “I had a reason, and it was not principally about money,” he added. Under these circumstances, he reported to TMZ that he would not attend the Royal wedding.
Thomas Markle was determined to attend her daughter’s wedding after being admitted to the hospital for a heart attack that left a “significant damage” to his heart a week ago. His decision was prompted by texts of Meghan saying that she loved him and was concerned for his health. In spite of that, he began suffering chest pains again on Monday.
Thomas claims that the open letter of his son, Thomas Markle Jr., triggered his heart attack. Markle Jr.’s letter was addressed to Prince Harry, begging the royal to call off the wedding.
Thomas told TMZ that he wanted to walk her daughter down the aisle but later realizes that his scheduled surgery is holding him off. He revealed that his surgery is scheduled at 7:30 AM today. Doctors “will go in and clear blockage, repair damage and put a stent where it is needed,” he told TMZ.
Thomas Markle is supposed to walk his daughter down the aisle while his mother, Doria Ragland, is expected to accompany her in the car ride from her overnight location to the wedding’s venue. Who will walk the soon-to-be Royal bride down the aisle?
