Stephen Hawking posthumously released his final work, which is a collection of answers to natural phenomena he had studied on before he died. Hawking’s last book entitled “Brief Answers to Big Questions” shall be available in October.
Publisher John Murray said that the book would have four sections, all of which features Professor Hawking’s answers to different questions people ask themselves every day. The parts are named “Why Are We Here?,” “Will We Survive?,” “Will Technology Save Us or Destroy Us?,” and “How Can We Thrive?”
The publisher also said that at the time of Professor Hawking’s death, the book is already subject to discussion. Part of Professor Hawking’s estate stated he wanted to push through with the book. Bantam, his long-time publisher, acquired rights to publish the book in North America.
Professor Hawking’s final book is already available for pre-order on Amazon. The book’s release also coincides with John Murray’s 250th anniversary. The proceeds from Professor Hawking’s final book will go to the Motor Neuron Disease Association and the Stephen Hawking Foundation.
This venture is not Professor Hawking’s first in literature. Aside from his scientific research, he has previously released books which also tackle different questions in the universe such as “A Brief History of Time,” “The Grand Design,” among others. He also wrote children’s books like “George and The Blue Moon,” and other “George” series which he worked on with his daughter Lucy.
Aside from his final book, his last research work was also revealed earlier this year. The study tackled the idea that our universe is “a very large, complex hologram” and suggests that the popular belief of the Earth’s beginnings is wrong.
