In Japanese, it translates literally into A dull world where there is no sense of dirty jokes.’ This is the heart of the series. The first season with 12 episodes was successful. Everybody’s now waiting to hit the screens for Shimoneta season 2.

Soon after 2014, a manga adjustment as part of Mag Garden’s “Monthly Comic Blade” manga magazine started printing. Due to the success of the series, J.C.Staff, an independent Japanese studio, started to broadcast in 2015 an anime adaptation. From July 2015 to September 2015, it successfully distributed 12 episodes that are the first anime year.
Release date of Shimoneta season 2
The second season of the series was not publicly confirmed. However, ample rumours are being made about production. If any of those reports are true, we should expect to look at next year’s second season. There should however be a second season because in the first season there are several loose ends. In order to finish the novel, the audience needs to explore more the plot and characters. The producers must carry the second season sooner or later.
Season 1 of Shimoneta premiered on 4 July 2015 and came to an end on 19 September 2015. While no official announcements have yet been made, there are some reports of the ongoing sequel. We can’t agree to all the demands, but we can surely expect another season very soon because of the success of the first season. There’s even more to the storey than what was discussed in the first season, so the anime will not be dropped. Our best idea is that the release date of the Shimoneta 2 season could drop by 2021. As soon as we hear more we will update this post.
